“Since I was growing up, I’ve always had a pet. At home at my parents’ house we have our golden retriever Jake. We have two mutts called Marley and Murphy and they’re brothers. They look nothing alike but they’re brothers. They were born on the same day. We have our cat Simon. Simon is this huge, obese tabby cat. Fat cats are the best kind. All the dogs are terrified of him. Sometimes the dogs are just minding their own business and the cat will just walk over there and swat them. Keep them in check, show them who’s boss. It’s kind of inspiring.”

Hey, would you mind meeting me at 4 instead of 3? A dog just threw up on me (no, really) and I have to make a detour.
“Crying doesn’t mean you’re weak… it just means you’ve been strong for too long.” You are not less than anyone else because of your hurt - you are just as important and wonderful as all of us. Being strong doesn’t mean never crying, never showing emotion or vulnerability. You are pushing on, beautiful and so amazing, even if you don’t think so - and I hope you can see that some day, if you don’t already.
